We've been hard at work on the BOM tool and are happy to announce updates which add some of the features that have been requested most frequently!

It's now possible to select between multiple matches for a line item query. This is especially helpful for part numbers with multiple manufacturers. Can't remember a part number suffix? Try a wildcard search and choose the one you need from the list. Part selections are preserved when opening a saved BOM.
The availability count shows the number of distributors with offers for the part, ignoring stock status and minimum order quantity. The availability color code shows number of orderable distributor offers (offer MOQ ≤ BOM quantity × line item quantity ≤ offer quantity in stock): red for none, orange for one or two, and green for more.
We've also added distributor comparison columns. Click "select" to choose your preferred distributors and compare pricing and availability. If stock is insufficient or MOQ is not met the problem will be highlighted with red text. Click the price to purchase at the distributor's site.
Note that these prices are calculated using the price break corresponding to (BOM quantity × line item quantity). Be sure to set the BOM Qty field in the top left to your actual production target for accurate pricing.
Finally, it's now possible to choose the method for pricing the BOM. Note that these prices are calculated at the price break corresponding to (BOM quantity × line item quantity) and exclude offers where the MOQ is not met. Choose from these options:
