Not knowing if a crucial component in your design is going to be end-of-life'd can be nerve-wracking. Unfortunately, this data is often difficult and expensive to retrieve. This is why we are particularly pleased to announce that, starting today, you can get lifecycle data by signing up for our API. When using the API, remember to include specs in your request and look for the ‘lifecycle_status’ key in the response.

We are working hard to gather as much lifecycle data as we can, prioritizing by volume of API requests and the accessibility of this information via feeds and crawling. At the same time, we didn’t want to delay launching this critical information. You can find the manufacturers for which we have already gathered this data below -- rest assured this list will get longer over time. If there are specific manufacturers you’d like to see added, let us know.
