Octopart is excited to announce our newest content partner, TraceParts.

This partnership will expand our database providing our users direct access to free 3D models, CAD files and 2D drawings for MCAD, ECAD, PCB, CAE and BIM from TraceParts.

Our partnership with TraceParts seamlessly connects our users with one of the world’s leading CAD-content platforms for Engineering, Industrial Equipment and Machine Design. Available free-of-charge, the TraceParts CAD-content platform provides access to over 1,550 supplier-certified product catalogs and billions of 2D drawings & 3D CAD models and product datasheets.

At Octopart, we are continuously expanding our scope and quality of CAD models for you to help improve both your productivity and workflows. Our CAD Model Marketplace allows Octopart to function as a CAD model search engine, using the same powerful search algorithm that powers our site. You can access more than 1 million CAD models from more sources and formats thanks to our CAD model partnerships. This enables you to easily find footprints, symbols, and 3D models for any parts that have models available. And now, you will have access to 3D models from our newest partner, TraceParts.

TraceParts is excited to team up with Octopart’s CAD Model Marketplace as part of the TraceParts Publishing Network, an exclusive syndication program for industrial product catalogs totaling over 28 million designers and engineers worldwide.

Thanks to this unique joint partnership program, part vendors of electronic components can instantly get “designed-in'' to new design projects of machinery and industrial equipment. This makes accessing product data simply a few mouse clicks away.
