Reliable, quality switches are essential for operating any device, and certain applications demand high-current, sealed switches for optimum performance. High-current switches are specialized electromechanical devices that are capable of handling significant electrical currents while connecting or disconnecting a power source from a load.
They play a crucial role in managing high voltages while also protecting circuits from damage. They’re used across a multitude of industries (industrial, medical, transportation, agricultural, etc.) and have a variety of practical applications.
E-Switch, a leading provider of electromechanical switches since 1979, is thrilled to announce the release of our PVHC4 Series—a high-amperage anti-vandal switch tailored to the needs of exacting applications.
The PVHC4 Series anti-vandal switch provides durability and security in a sleek and modern package. Dependability meets visual appeal with an IP67 rating, multiple function options, and the potential for ring and power symbol illumination. Multiple LED color choices are available for further customization. The electrical rating of this high-current SPST switch is 20A, 250VAC and 25A, 30VDC.
The PVHC4 has a 19mm diameter panel cutout with options for a flat or high actuator featuring either a stainless steel or black anodized finish. The body finish can also be stainless steel or black anodized. The electrical life is an impressive 50,000 cycles, and the switch has a robust operating/storage temperature of -40 to 85°C.
Additionally, our UL-certified lineup of anti-vandal switches (the ULV Series) provides unrivaled durability and efficiency with a design that offers tamper resistance and anti-jamming construction properties. Panel cutout sizes for the ULV Series include 19mm, 22mm and 25mm. All sizes are UL-certified and rated IP67 for dust and moisture protection.
This switch line provides several termination options, including solder lug, direct wired, wired molded boot and detachable wired socket to meet the manufacturing process of finished goods. The wire leads are compatible with a variety of standard connectors. The termination options provide convenience, eliminate in-house labor or second sourcing to add wire leads before installation, and reduce lead-time and overall cost.
