Admin Checklists

Summary: 

This video demonstrates how to add a checklist to an Altium 365 Platform for use in design reviews.  To begin, navigate to the admin button, and select checklists on the right hand side to see current platform checklists.   Edit or delete one by selecting the three radial dots, or create a new one by selecting the new button.  

In the new checklist, type or paste a list of items and a name and select add.  This creates a new checklist template which can be applied to a design by opening a design, creating a design review, and adding the template checklist to that design.

In this video, I'll show you how you can add a checklist into the Altium 365 Platform in order to use with your design reviews. First thing you'll do is you'll go to the admin button and you'll notice here over on the right hand side, there's checklists. And this will show all the existing checklists that are currently associated in the platform.

All you need to do is if you want to edit any of those you can just click the three radial dots, click edit, or you can remove them as well. In order to create a new one, you'll click the new button. You'll give it a name. I'll call this PCB General, and then you can add any items to the list, either by typing them in or pasting if you already have a list that is comprised.

I had mine already comprised, so I just pasted it in, and the last thing you'll do is click add. It will become this new template for your checklist that is associated. If I want to apply that to a design, I can go into my projects menu, and I can open up an existing design,

and from the left hand side I'll choose the design reviews. I'm just going to go ahead and add a new design review and I'll make this a name. So I'll just say design review.

For PCB, and I'll say initial, so we know where it is. Now down below you see that there's the checklists. I already have some here. But I can also add from my template list which I just had created. So I have this PCB general one that I want to go ahead and add in now, and I can choose that.

I need to select the name or the checkbox and then click add. Now I can see each and every item in the list that I can go and walk through. For this particular design, and I do need to click on the suggested items in the list. This is the one I just added. I said unused pins. Check all unrouted nets, report all polygons, ensure the board has complete silkscreen, etc. etc..

So now with this list, anyone that is going to review the design would see each of these items that I added as a checklist and be able to walk through them. So this is how you would add a new checklist and also be able to add that to a design review once it has been created from scratch. Thank you for watching.
