Summary:
This video demonstrates how to use the Altium 365 Component Library to see who created or modified a component in the web interface. It also shows users how to create a list of all components a particular user has created or modified and how to export such a list. To begin, the video uses a capacitor component type to view it's lifecycle, parameters, and models.
Also shown are the revisions made to the component, it's history, and who created and revised it. This information is available in Altium Designer in the Components Panel and the Explorer Panel, where the creation data for the part is used to create a list of components by a specific user.

In the Altium 365 Workspace, you can store and manage your electronic components. These components are visible in the web view. Here you can see your component types. So when I want to look at capacitors I can click them; and maybe I want to check out this component. I can see the lifecycle, I can see its parameters, the models.
00:00:23:08 - 00:00:46:09
Maybe I want to know who created it, and for that I could open the component. When I open the component, I can see that there's multiple revisions. I can see of course, it's data, part choices, where used, and it’s history. In the history, I can see which user created it, which users have made a revision of it,
00:00:46:11 - 00:01:13:03
and when it was changed, the lifecycle. Sometimes you just want some more information and this can be obtained in Altium Designer. When I'm in Altium Designer, I can check the Components Panel. Right, the Components Panel has all the filtering capabilities, and is intended to place components on the schematic. We also have another panel called Explorer. Let's dock Explorer Panel,
00:01:13:04 - 00:01:49:05
and Explorer Panel has a search capability. In search, you can create a safe search, and it will be, creator_modifier. All right, and we're going to search for components. What do we want to display in the search? We want “createdby”. There it is. It needs to be visible, and we want “modifiedby”
00:01:49:06 - 00:02:22:03
Search for more. There it is. The search needs to be public so that all the users, in the workspace can see it in explorer if they want to. All right. Here we see the components. Right, and I can sort on modified. These don't have fields created by sort term top down. It can be this one.
00:02:22:04 - 00:02:46:07
This one is second search and you can see all the components, who created it, who’d done actions to it. So if this guy made, well, problematic, maybe he didn't understand our naming conventions or colors to use. We could check out everything that, Jelle Laarman made, and, well, we probably need to check these components out, right?
00:02:46:07 - 00:03:13:08
So if you want to export such a list, you can just simply select a few, do Ctrl C, jump to Excel right, and paste it. You get a list of your problematic components to check work on; if its needed to export, you can do it. So this is a way you can generate lists on createdby, and modifiedby.
