Events Log
Summary:
This video demonstrates navigating within the events log. The events log showcases user events and data within the workspace in a single access point for data governance.
To begin, navigate to the admin tab and the events log link once the Organizational Security Package is enabled. Many types of logged events are visible including additions, removals, workspace member group assignments, component and object data, and data sharing.
Event log entries can be searched and filtered by object type as well. The list can be refreshed by typing F5, and an API is also available to transfer event log data to a security information and events management system.

In this video you will learn about the events log. It shows data and user events that have occurred in the workspace. It provides a single point of access for administrators to monitor events and audit workspace activity for data governance purposes. When you're logged in, you can go to the admin tab and select the events log link. It is available when the Organizational Security Package is enabled.

The logged events include additions, removal, and group assignments of users or workspace members, and the addition and removal of design and component data and sharing the data with users. It shows what objects were affected or used. You can see there is a date and author, the action, the object type, and a message about the event. We also have the search field that allows filtering of events based on typing the object that you want to filter.

F5 is also available if the event hasn't shown in the list yet. It will refresh the list and add it.

Also, the Altium 365 Workspace provides an API for transferring event log data to a suitable security information and events management system, SIMS, for compliance and auditing purposes.
