Managing BOMs and Selecting an Alternate Part

This video demonstrates how to create a managed BOM and select an alternate part in Altium 365. It shows how to navigate within the Managed BOM Creation Dialog Box, to choose a variant, change a folder location, and replace parts within the BOM for alternate parts.

Agenda

Create the Managed BOM - Navigate within the Managed BOM Creation Dialog Box to select the variant and adjust the folder location, if needed.

BOM List - The created BOM list shows the parts within the BOM and their manufacturer part numbers.  Items with issues display in red.

Selecting Alternative Parts - For the red items, select an alternative based on the suggestions in Altium, which have identical specifications to those already there.
