Update on the Excel Add-In

For years, you’ve been able to pull Octopart data directly into your Excel spreadsheets. Unfortunately, we haven’t had the opportunity to keep this feature up-to-date, and things have been a bit neglected. To remedy this, we’re turning it over to you!

As of March 17, 2021, Octopart will be shutting down the current version of the Excel Add-in and replacing it with a brand new, open source version. The code for this new version is available on Github, here, for anyone who would like to extend or improve it. We are leaving this project in the hands of you, our great community to update, fix, and improve as you see fit.

The new Excel Add-in still enables you to access pricing and availability data right within Microsoft Excel. You can continue to pull electronic component information for your BOM all at once, without leaving your spreadsheet.
