Monterey Bay Aquarium Tickets and Gifts ($39-$300)

Monterey Bay Gift Guide

The Monterey Bay Aquarium has been one of California’s most popular family destinations since 1984. In just their first two years of operation, the aquarium and conservation pioneer launched multiple school programs and was featured prominently in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.

In 1987, they unveiled the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI), a private, non-profit research center. MBARI’s many technological advancements include the development of proprietary long-range autonomous underwater vehicles (LRAUVs) designed to measure, collect, and film along the ocean floor. Some of these incredible vehicles were made using Altium Designer.

Their funding is dependent upon the financial health of the Monterey Bay Aquarium. While the aquarium doors are currently closed due to COVID-19, you can still buy tickets, regular memberships, and fantastic, eco-friendly gifts online. Your purchases will help keep the scientists, engineers, and sea creatures at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and MBARI going strong.

Token Ring ($349)

gift Guide - Token Ring

Modern life would be much less convenient without radio-frequency identification (RFID). We rely on RFID-enabled devices for just about everything from getting into the office to buying groceries. And while they’ve made our lives easier, we’re carrying more things than ever before—badges, fobs, smartphones—and all that extra stuff slows us down, from the parking garage to the supermarket checkout aisle.

The Token Ring is a new, easy way to cut out all of the clutter without sacrificing the convenience of RFID. The sleek, unisex ring takes the place of key cards, access badges, fobs, credit cards, and payment apps. The device was designed by Flight Circuits, a Rochester, NY-based service bureau and longtime Altium customer.

Read on to discover how Flight Circuits helped make Token happen!
